Boy I'm tired today. I usually am on Mondays, but I have that so tired my bones ache feeling today.
This weekend was a visit to my grandparents in South Jersey for Mother's Day. It was an interesting weekend...and though not a point disaster as my weekend out to dinner was, it still had it's elements of struggle, trying to figure out what I should eat, and balancing eating healthy with grandparent cooking guilt. And the fact that home cooked food in any sense is hard to pass up.
I guess my biggest blunders were the pastries at the end of the day. Saturday I had a 1/2 cannoli and a piece of my favorite Napoleon cake. And then Sunday I had only a piece of Lemon Meringue pie. The cannoli wasn't that bad, especially with only half. The pie was somewhere between 7 and 9 points...and the Napoleon cake??? 14 points!!! Though I don't know what size slice that would be, so I think I gave myself about 11 for a smaller piece. Egad.
These weekends are killing me. Luckily my points were much lower during this week than they were last week. So unlike last week's point pandemonium where I was about 6 or 7 points over my weekly allowance, I am still a few points under this week. And plan to keep it that way. I just hope the fact that these points came at the end of my week doesn't screw up my weigh in today. Though I did make an effort to walk more this week. I got about 5 activity points which exceeded my goal of three.
But we shall see.
Tomorrow I'll let you know how it went and be talking about the next Tool for Living.
Until next time!
